In the early part of the 20th century there was an explosion of writing via magazines. These magazines usually specialized in particular genres, the most popular of which were:
Science Fiction
Adventure
Current Affairs
Romance
Travel.
Detective
Add historical and horror to that and nothing much has changed.
A lot of famous writers started writing for these magazines. They were cheap to produce and tended to pump out volume rather than bother too much about quality. Some of the work was fantastic, some was terrible, but the vast majority of it was fun and enjoyable. Although many of the Writers eventually became famous they really just started writing for fun, this is often the way with careers. A hobby becomes a career because others enjoy what you do.
Like many people, you probably have an idea for a book you always wanted to write.
Surveys indicate that many people have an idea for a book they want to write. It can be a crime novel with a unique twist, or an interesting fantasy. Some people want to release the romantic within and express it in a novel or story.

At the same time I will be promoting directly to publishing houses, who knows? Maybe someone will see your work and want to publish it.
After all a publisher will be able to come to this website and browse at his/her leisure, this is much easier for the publisher than pawing through manuscripts sent in the post.
In the meantime, you can sell your works here.
The copyright to the work continues to be yours, you own it, but we take a percentage of any sales and the standard agent's commission if a publisher accepts your work via this website.

Soon I will launch as a membership website for writers, you will be able to have fun here writing articles, and you can also start submitting your full length novels and poetry collections and short stories. Publishing
Soon I will be promoting my website specifically to targeted publisherswhich will get your work seen by publishers from all over the world.
When this is launched theremay be a membership fee to cover the costs of this. I am still working out the best way to do this but your work will probably go into a special membership section and Publishers will be invited to join and enter by password. You will also be asked to submit your writing portfolios. So, lets get started now.
Reviewing Writers
Readers will be invited to submit a review, which will be individually inspected and edited before being put on the site. Just use the contact form and name the work you are reviewing for now.
My aim is for this website to develop into a real Writing Community where the Writers get good service and individual attention as well as writing help.
