Noise

 What is it?

You ever been in a crowded room where everyone is talking loudly and excitedly, all with different tones of voice? Some are shouting to be heard above the racket,,others are laughing loudly, some are giggling. Usually it is possible to hear small snippets of conversation, but your attention is being pulled this way and that and it is not possible to catch the main thread of any particularconversation.

Then a friend waves frantically at you across the room, a huge smile on her face, she is dancing up and down saying something, but you cannot hear her properly. Somehow you are able to fight your way through the crowd, your reach the lady, she leans close to your ear and repeats her message, there are loud conversations coming from all directions, it is still impossible to get it al,.eventually it is necessary for both of you to go to a quieter part of the room or outside.

We are all familiar with this kind of noise, it is impossible to get a communication across or at least very difficult. What you may not have realised is that this principle is applied in propaganda. It is particularly useful when utilising a mass communication medium such as the internet.

Noisei n terms of data is “an overwhelming number of different and often crazy descriptions or explanations for the same event or thing”

The Internet

The internet is already a mass of conflicting, unverifiable data, often it is just a case of believing what you “feel” is the truth. Opinions are presented as facts, sometimes “sponsored research” backs up claims.  Often the opinions are expressed with such force or opinion or they fit so precisely with your own teachings and experiences you accept them without question.

Don’t get me wrong, the internet is a fantastic place. There is a wealth of information and great opinions, but people do need to be careful as the sheer size of it can be used by propaganda people to overwhelm the senses and obscure a message.

How it is done

This is achieved in three ways:

a) The encouragement of as many different theories on a subject as possible, they must all be different or preferably conflict with each other and best of all completely weird or outrageous in the eyes of most people.

b) Planting ideas within certain groups designed to upset them enough to cause them to disseminate these ideas broadly. This is particularly useful as it uses other groups to go to work for you with all the expense that entails. This is often achieved by infiltration. Some intelligence agencies have been known to plant people in groups for years before activating them to create the confusion.

c) Hiring of people to writethe theories.

The best example

Let’s take an example; the most common one of all is conspiracies.

Ask most people on the street about conspiracies and they kind of groan, look at you like you are anut and try to get away from the conversation. If you press the person, youoften find that they actually DO believe there is some sort of conspiracy to form a world government, but they run a mile when you try and talk about it, much less DO something about it- why?Ok, try putting “world government conspiracy” into google. There are thousands and thousands of pages.

It is the Illuminati, it is the Jews, it is the Masons, it is the 13ancient bloodlines of Babylon, it is Aliens, it is the Mormons, It’s theCouncil for Foreign Affairs, It’s the American Government, It’s the BritishGovernment, It’s the Satanists, it’s the ancient Mystery Religions, It’s the Occultists, its the Catholic Church on and on and on and on. Whew! Try it sometime, itsquite an experience!

You get it? There is real plausible evidence all around us that there is some sort of conspiracy going on, and in there somewhere is the truth. Most people will spend a few hours looking at this and become so overwhelmed, so desensitized and so bored with reading nonsense, not only will they miss the truth that is sitting in there, they will experience pain at the thought of studying or even discussing this with anyone.

While a lot of this data is probably originated entirely by the originators, I tell you a lot of   this is actively encouraged and funded (often without the people knowing who is funding them). It is supported “sponsored research” and by experts who are being paid by those who want to get a particular message across- like a sugar company sponsoring research into whether sugar is a health risk. This happens all the time, particularly in the medical field. The other way is to infiltrate a group and infect them with crazy ideas, which they often disseminate fanatically.

The aim of the propagandist is to create so much “Noise” that it is not possible for the truth to be communicated.

Finally

Be aware of this and quickly dismiss data and move on when it is clearly not supported by facts. It is hard because fake research is common, but if you are really interested just be very choosy about the information your read.
